On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Stanford Chinese Faculty and Family Club successfully hosted an insightful panel discussion titled “AI in Scientific Research.”
We were honored to feature three distinguished Stanford professors:
Prof. Xiang Qian – specializing in Pain Medicine and clinical applications of AI,
Prof. Xiaoliang Qi – an expert in Quantum Physics and AI in material science,
Prof. Le Cong – renowned for his work in Biomedical Research and AI-driven gene editing.
The discussion was skillfully moderated by Dr. Pei Cao, Vice President of Engineering at YouTube and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, whose pioneering work bridges large-scale computing and AI applications.
The event fostered vibrant discussions and offered valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming the landscape of scientific discovery. Many attendees found the session both highly informative and deeply inspiring.
